Anthem sits about 35 miles north of central Phoenix on I-17, and that distance is the part most crews underestimate. A move from Anthem to Scottsdale or Chandler is priced and scheduled like a local move, but it is a real drive each way, so we plan the run around traffic instead of hoping.
The community splits into two jobs. Anthem Country Club is guard-gated, so the truck and crew go on the gate list and the certificate of insurance reaches the association ahead of the day. Parkside is open, but Anthem Community Council rules still govern where a truck can sit and for how long.
The homes themselves are mostly two-storey family houses, which means stairs, bulky bedroom sets and garage contents that have been accumulating. Stair edges and door frames get protected, furniture comes apart where it needs to, and it goes back together upstairs rather than being left in the hall.
